We will provide respite and replacement care allowing the primary carer a break from their caring role. This will help to reduce carers stress and prevent care from breaking down, reduce admission into hospital or residential care.

We will work closely with other care professionals to develop a unique exercise plan tailored to suit the individuals needs and aspirations, by using a reablement approach which helps to build their physical strength and improves their independence, self-confidence and promote their wellbeing especially after a fall or a short stay in hospital.

Other activities available such as kitchen practice, walking practice, games, arts and crafts, using IT equipment, supported showering, lunch and refreshments along with so much more.

We can collect you from your home and return you home again at the end of the day if required, using our adapted minibus which is wheelchair accessible.

Yes, this is nothing to worry about, as a company we need to carry out an assessment of need and it is an opportunity for us to get to know a bit about you and what you hope to achieve by attending the Care Hub.

During the assessment process we will build a picture of your needs when attending the Care Hub for example, you may require:

  • personal care
  • support to take medication
  • use moving and handling equipment
  • perhaps assistance to eat lunch

Once we have this information a unique person-centred care plan will be created and used when you attend the Care Hub

Our Reablement Support Workers will hold or are working towards their SVQ In Social Services and Health Care – SCQF Level 7 or above. Our Team has a wide range of experience working in the care sector from Care in the Community to Residential Care.

Prior to working with clients, our Reablement Support Workers undertake an extensive three-day induction training course with Foxdale Training Ltd, who are a market leader in the care field. We also provide ongoing training throughout the year and can provide specific training dependent on the needs of clients.

Our Reablement Support Workers are fully vetted through Disclosure Scotland and Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.

DDL Care Hub is registered with the Care Inspectorate. The Care Inspectorate will undertake an annual inspection to ensure we are meeting the regulations and are following Health and ‘My Support – My Life’.

The Care Hub management team are also registered with The Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC). The SSSC is the regulator for the social services employees in Scotland. They ensure care provided is from a trusted, skilled and confident workforce by registering all Health and Social Care workers. The SSSC Codes of Practice set the standards for Employers and Employees practice, conduct, training and education.
